The Kuan Ba / Wobbly Boot Resort,
Malapascua Island, Cebu, Philippines
The Wobbly Boot Resort proudly claims to be the most laid
back resort on the island. Come to Kuan Ba and the living is easy! Our
staff are super-friendly and eager to meet your every need. Our resort
is all inclusive - bar, restaurant, swimming pool, and easy beach access
with an affiliated dive shop. What more can you ask for?
The resort was established several years ago, built by
ex-pats wanting a home away from home. So let this be your home
away from home! If you have ever met the owners, Cowie and Geoff, you
will know that they certainly like to enjoy themselves, so they built
this resort with fun in mind!
As well as rooms, the resort has an excellent restaurant
with international cuisine, a cosy bar with a pool table and darts board.
And don't forget the swimming pool! The poolside bar and the resort restaurant
have poolside service, available for your needs all day. The pool is floodlit
for those midnight swim parties.
Why "Kuan Ba"?
"Kuan Ba!" is a term in the local language,
Cebuano. It has no real equivalent in English, but means
something like "Anything
goes!" Listen carefully and you will hear the locals use it often!
Why "Wobbly Boot?"
Kuan Ba's nickname is the Wobbly Boot Resort. This came
from Pete, an Australian guest. As you
probably know, Australians are known for their love of beer, and as
Pete staggered to his room at the end end of the evening, he was heard
to shout out "Don't worry about me! I've got my wobbly boots on!"
Don't forget to get your Wobbly Boot T-shirt before you
leave!
